The one thing about solo traveling for extended periods is you meet awesome people along the way. Sometimes those awesome people invite you to their country to hang out and show you around. And if you’re lucky those people live in amazing cities in amazing places.
Such a chance meeting happened to me. I met some really cool travelers in Berlin, hung out with them and now I’m off to Singapore to spend a week exploring the city and getting the non-tourist tour.
Time to check another continent off the list!
THE ODD ODYSSEY 
Singapore is one of the most fabulous cities in the world. The only other city that I think is more fabulous would be Dubai. Try to meet somebody from there. Have a great time and take lots of pictures.

I’m actually in Dubai right now, but it’s midnight so my plan to see the city on my 10 hour layover backfired. I’m off to find a corner and a plug. I’m afraid if I fall asleep, I’ll miss my flight.

Singapore is tops on my list of places to visit. The official language is even English. Be sure to try Goreng Pisang (bananas deep fried in batter) and ice kacang (like shave ice). Look forward to photos of the old market and all the food stalls. I hear the airport makes JFK look like Mogadishu. It’s like an upscale tropical resort.
