I spent the morning walking around the Bukit Timah Nature Preserve. The preserve is only about a 30 minute drive (or hour bus ride) from the city center and is located in the only remaining stretch of rainforest in Singapore. I saw monitor lizards scurrying into the underbrush and a variety of beautiful butterflies and birds.
After my walk, I spent the rest of my day at probably the best zoo I have ever been to. Why is the Singapore Zoo the best you ask? Because they have monkeys and lemurs roaming around the zoo like they own the place and baby orangutans. Also, the fact that I pet a lemur on its head, and it didn’t maul me, makes the place pretty damn awesome too.
It turns out as well, that I should probably quit my day job and take animal head-shots for a living.

Incredible pics Josh…makes the viewer feel as if
they’re peering over your shoulder.
Colors are so vivid and the b&ws are gr8 also.
Head shots are awesome.
Keep on keepin on !

The pictures of the birds are stunning. The white tiger incredible. I must say that with China’s great environmental history, I am surprised there is any rain forest at all.
